Reliable Pedestrian Access Doesn’t Have to Cost an Arm and a Leg

Architects face a variety of challenges and considerations when it comes to the entrances of the spaces they design.

From meeting exacting environmental specifications to requirements for handicap or high-traffic automatic access, the diverse new line of FLEX™ by Horton pedestrian access solutions provides dependable performance at an attractive price point to suit a variety of projects.

Engineered with the precision and performance you have come to expect from a true industry pioneer, FLEX was developed to deliver reliable and cost-effective automatic door systems across multiple product categories, including slides, swing, revolving, service windows, platform screen doors and activation devices. Two of these unique new products include the FlexSlide Series 2022 Automatic Sliding Door and the non-handed FlexSwing Series 7400.

FlexSlide™: Quality Pedestrian Access for Everyday Use

The EPD compliant FlexSlide Series 2022 Automatic Sliding Door provides hands-free, contactless pedestrian access for everyday use. This system is ideal for commercial, educational and institutional applications and provides reliable quality pedestrian access at a price that’s unmatched in the industry!

Part of a FLEX-branded portfolio of slide, swing and revolving door systems that deliver reliability at an optimal price point, this versatile, hardworking system features a 4.5" x 7" header with appealing sightlines, hair line joints and is available with a wide selection of finishes including wet/powder paint and anodized options.

The FlexSlide Series 2022 is used in main entrances, exits, vestibules, lounges and internal passages of office buildings, hotels, retail stores, restaurants, banks, shopping centers and entertainment venues.

The FlexSlide Series 2022 automatic sliding door, offered as single-slide or biparting, features a header-mounted sensor, heavy-duty drivetrain with 1/8 HP motor drive system, easy-to-program electronic drive control, and factory-installed weather sealing. The door is available in full breakout, partial breakout and non-breakout, and with narrow and medium stiles.

FlexSwing™: Your One Box Solution

Public buildings such as retail, hotels, government and office buildings, industrial sites, schools and libraries must often adhere to strict handicap accessibility guidelines. The FlexSwing Series 7400 Medium Duty Non-Handed Operator is a great solution when a handicap accessible solution is needed.

Once the Push-N-Go® feature is activated, the 7400 operator opens the door steadily and through an adjustable time delay keeps the door in the full open position before bringing the door to rest at full closed. This creates a barrier-free doorway and gives the pedestrian time to pass through the door before it slowly closes using spring force of less than 15 pounds (67 N).

The new non-handed FlexSwing 7400 is available in a wide range of configurations including single, pair or double egress. With many operator features including touchless operation, adjustable opening and closing speeds, Push-N-Go® activation and SoftTouch® safety feature that reverses a closing door, the FlexSwing 7400 is easily adapted in the field for many commercial uses.

FLEX™ by Horton products are designed to provide reliable performance at an attractive price point. Whether you’re looking for a sliding door, automatic swing or revolving door system, the new line of pedestrian access solutions provides dependable quality that is unmatched in the industry.
