High Profile Semiconductor Plant in Phoenix Partners with Horton
Semiconductor factory in Phoenix, Arizona

First of its kind chip factory features nearly 200 Horton doors

A $12 billion semiconductor factory in Phoenix, Arizona is partnering with Horton Automatics on a massive $2.1 million project requiring close to 200 sliding doors, many of which are ISO 3 cleanroom rated.

After a competitive bidding process, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) selected Horton for its proven expertise in cleanroom-related entrance solutions, its dedication to customer service and pricing.

The new TSMC plant is the first of its kind in the US equipped to mass produce 5nm chips, primarily used in mobile devices. The factory is projected to supply high-tech giants such as Apple, Qualcomm and Nvidia. The project is part of the “great American insource” by which America seeks to bring back to US soil the production of these strategic commodities. The plant, built on 1,129 acres of land, is set to employ more than 2,000 employees by 2023 and be fully operational by 2024.

“We are proud to have been selected as the pedestrian access solutions provider for this high-profile project,” says Joy Ribble, President of Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions. “Our team of engineers and customer service representatives are committed to providing outstanding products for demanding cleanroom applications.”
