Award-Winning Lancaster General Hospital Renovation Features 125 Horton Doors
We are proud to announce that a massive healthcare project featuring 125 Horton Automatics commercial doors was recognized by Commercial Construction & Renovation magazine with a 2024 Project Profile Award. The CCR Project Profile Award for Healthcare recognizes outstanding achievement in major renovation projects.
The 40,000-square-foot expansion of the Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Department will serve the increasingly high demand for emergency services and healthcare in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania region. When fully complete in 2024, the $182.5 million project will nearly double the current Emergency Department to 95 beds, with the capacity to serve 140,000 patients annually.
Partnering with Horton, Susquehanna Door Service supplied and installed all of the automatic sliding, swinging and folding packages along with the manual ICU packages to satisfy every need in the expansion plan.
